On The Eucharist (by: Fr. Randy Agner, CM)
Date: June 24, 2014
Jesus, Lord, you came to serve than be served,
Of the Father you are Word made flesh now shared as bread
Blood of sacrifice now we drink as wine
You bring hope, you give joy and strength, full endless life.
When we eat this bread and we drink this cup
We remember, Lord, your disciples' feet you washed
Told them, "As I did must you also do.
Be the least, be as servants. I am with you.
To the hungry we come for it's you we see in them,
To the thirsty we run that they too my freely drink.
To the poor and weak, to the lonely and ill,
We shall be your presence, Lord, till time's end.
To be food and drink all the better to serve,
That, O Lord, was your will when you gave this sacrament
So we pray to you make us always be
Living signs of your kind of love all need today.
